Our mobile fraternity will function similarly to a stationary fraternity. One friar will serve as the guardian, another brother will be the chronicler (records daily life) and a photographer. Some roles will rotate to prevent stagnation. Leader, cantor and lector for the Divine Office will rotate weekly. All in all, everyone shares the load. No one's assignment is everybody's responsibility. -- Posted by Roger

Hello to all of you! We so enjoyed meeting you at Chateau O'Brien yesterday out in the gorgeous Virginia countryside!! What a delight to have met you, and we so wish the very best in all that you do, and that you touch many lives on your journeys! We hope you have wonderful adventures all the way to D.C. and beyond!! God bless and let us know if you're ever in Haymarket, Va.

At bedtime last night, since it was late, we chose to forego our Bible reading with our 8-year-old son. Instead, we recanted the Gospel from Sunday and the wonderful story of a simple band of Friars. Our priest in Carmel, Ind., met one of you, then shared your journey and engaged us - Thank you, brothers.

Blessed Sacrament Church, July 12, 2009
Welcomed and shared Mass with the friars at the 10 a.m. service.
Joshua blessed my prayer book as I was prompted to bring my Franciscan Rosary to Mass but did not. God speaks in strange ways. As a Third Order layman, separated by distance, I will add your venture to my Liturgy of Hours daily prayers. It was a pleasure to meet you, Joshua, we are "brothers" in Christ. God bless you all.
